Indian Summer

Every year in fall Mother Nature brings out her stunning colours during the Indian Summer. There is no other place to go than Northern Ontario during that time! The Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands area are well known for their natural beauty with virgin forests as well as clean lakes where you can experience the mirrors of coloured rolling hills.

After a morning stroll through our woods or gliding with one of our canoes or kayaks over the lake, take a drive towards Algonquin Park or Parry Sound along Georgian Bay. Be it on a cruise through colourful rocky landscapes or on a refreshing hike, you will see and feel the power of Nature. Then spend the evening at Doeview and cozy up at the bonfire while gazing at the stars!

Most important at this time of the year: don’t forget your camera! Abundant opportunities for spectacular shots await the hobby or professional photographer.

Autumn is also very popular for bird watching. An international Birdwatcher/Ornithologist recorded more than 30 different species over a two-day period while staying at our place.
