Cottage in the Fall
Located on crystal clear Doe Lake, our cottage resort is only minutes north of Huntsville, 4 kilometers south of Burk’s Falls and a pleasurable 2 ½ hours drive from Toronto. We are conveniently placed in the middle of a large leisure and recreation area with major tourist attractions within easy reach. Several provincial parks, including Algonquin Park and Arrowhead Park as well as numerous golf courses are close by. To the west there is Parry Sound and Georgian Bay with excellent boat trips and water plane excursions while locally there are many sites and artisans worth a visit.
Our housekeeping cottages are nestled in a private surrounding of over 86 acres and away from any public traffic. Peaceful tranquility and a relaxing atmosphere are guaranteed! We are proud of our outstandingly clean, spacious cottages with cathedral ceilings which all are overlooking Doe Lake. The spotless guest rooms in the Main Cottage offer modern but comfortable accommodation. The all-natural sandy beach is rare to find along the shores of Little Doe Lake, but we have perhaps the longest stretch of sandy beach at our resort. The shallow shoreline caters well to families with small children, giving parents a peace of mind. This is our greatest asset, in the minds of many of our guests.

Doe Lake itself consists of three lakes and is connected to the Magnetawan River system in the Near North Tourist Area. This makes it a perfect spot for swimming, boating and fishing for pickerel, pike, bass, perch and sunfish. A relaxing way to explore the natural beauty, particularly the Indian Summer in autumn, is by softly gliding over the water in one of our canoes or kayaks. The possibility of encountering various wildlife and scenic hideaways is favourable. Additional outdoor activities include hiking, biking and bird watching.
